How does a Hollywood peel work?
The Hollywood peel is a cosmetic treatment designed to stimulate the skin and achieve a radiant appearance. This treatment involves applying a carbon mask to the face, which needs to dry for a few minutes. After the mask has dried, we treat the entire face with the PICO laser. The Hollywood peel removes dead skin cells while simultaneously stimulating collagen production.
What do you need to bear in mind with a Hollywood peel?
We recommend that the skin is not tanned before a peel treatment such as the Hollywood peel. If the skin is tanned, there is a higher risk of undesirable side effects such as uneven pigmentation or colour changes. Tanned skin usually has an increased amount of melanin, which can increase skin sensitivity and increase the risk of unwanted effects during or after the peel. The winter months are therefore more suitable for treatment, and good sun protection with a high sun protection factor is recommended before and after treatment.
Why is the skin prone to unsightly changes on the face?
Small wrinkles, facial imperfections, large or deep pores – various factors can make you feel uncomfortable in your own skin, regardless of age. The Hollywood peel offers an effective cosmetic solution to these concerns.

What are the risks and side effects?
A Hollywood peel may cause slight reddening of the treated skin, but this generally fades quickly. Depending on the intensity of the treatment, the skin may also peel slightly.
In most cases, you will be looking great afterwards, appearing more radiant and “red-carpet-ready”.
For a period following the treatment, the skin might react sensitively to touch, sunlight, and chemical products. However, light cooling, moisturising skincare products, and effective sun protection usually provide adequate aftercare.
A Hollywood peel can be repeated as often as you like over the course of your life. For the best effects, I recommend three treatments per treatment cycle at intervals of two to three weeks.
It is best if the skin has little to no tan at the time of treatment.

You can have this facial treatment even right before a special occasion because it is quick and painless, and provides immediate results. There is no downtime, no swelling, and the skin surface remains intact. This makes the treatment particularly popular with Hollywood stars before they walk the red carpet.
Can a Hollywood peel also be done in summer?
As with all laser treatments, it is best not to be tanned when you have a Hollywood peel. However, a very light tan or an upcoming trip to a sunny destination is generally OK as long as you protect yourself from sun exposure sensibly from a dermatological perspective.
