How does skin smoothing with a non-ablative laser work?

With a non-ablative fractional laser, the upper layers of the skin remain intact while the laser light penetrates deep down, without removing or damaging the outer layer. The laser heats the tissue beneath the skin’s surface, stimulating collagen production and making the skin firmer. This method typically involves less downtime but often requires several sessions to achieve optimal results. At SK-AESTHETICS, we work with the non-ablative Nd:YAG laser.

There may be slight redness on the face during the treatment, but this usually disappears quickly. In addition, several (three to four) treatments are usually necessary to achieve a similar effect to ablative laser therapies.
