Facial rejuvenation with Radiesse®
Radiesse® is the trade name for a specific type of filler used in aesthetic medicine, particularly for the treatment of wrinkles and for facial rejuvenation.
It is an injectable gel consisting of calcium hydroxyapatite (CaHA), a biocompatible and biodegradable material with the ability to build up volume in the face. Radiesse is typically used to treat deeper wrinkles and loss of volume in the face, such as in cases of nasolabial folds, marionette lines and sunken cheeks.
When used professionally, it can also contour and sculpt certain areas of the face for a more youthful and refreshed appearance. The special thing about Radiesse® is its stimulating effect on the body’s own collagen production. Depending on requirements, Radiesse can also be used in various dilutions to treat superficial wrinkles, for example in the neck or décolleté area.
In addition to the immediate increase in volume, Radiesse also has a long-term effect, as it stimulates the body to form new collagen around the injection site. This means that the results can last longer than with many other fillers.
