The “Lemon Bottle” fat-reduction injection – miracle or mirage?
The boasts of the bright yellow bottle
Lemon Bottle’s bright yellow packaging inspires hope with its promise to eliminate stubborn fat deposits. This fat-reduction injection from Germany is becoming quite the trend, especially on social media. One of its key advertising claims is that it is made with natural ingredients. But does it really live up to the hype? Is it a real solution to problem areas of unwanted fat?
Is lemon juice the secret to effectiveness?
Natural lemon juice is supposed to be Lemon Bottle’s secret weapon for lipolysis. Here’s the catch: it doesn’t actually contain natural lemon juice. Instead, it contains a combination of Bromelain, Riboflavin and Lecithin. These ingredients are known for their anti-inflammatory properties. Bromelain is also highly allergenic, so it can cause allergic reactions – skin reactions, for instance. An injection could even result in anaphylaxis. Furthermore, there is no evidence that this injection can change the structure of fat cells, which means the treatment is not scientifically proven. Even the manufacturer of this fat-reduction injection has yet to provide any clear information on its supposed mechanism of action. Many users on various review sites have reported a lack of effectiveness and possible dangers.
In addition, both doctors and the Swissmedic laboratory have warned that this lipolysis solution comes with medical risks and side effects that users will be ill-equipped to weigh up for themselves. End users who apply the injections themselves incorrectly could suffer nerve damage and facial paralysis. Due to its questionable ingredients and contradictory claims, Lemon Bottle is not permitted to be sold, distributed or used in Switzerland.
